As Edwyrd Eska approaches his two-hundredth year as Guardian of the Core, he must find an Apprentice to train under him. His title and role compels him to safeguard and govern his universe, Gladonus, as each Guardian before him has done and those after him shall continue to do until relieved of such duties by will of the Ancients. Prince Hydro Paen, Eirek Mourse, and Zain Berrese—amongst other contestants—receive invitations to compete in a quest of Trials intended to determine who becomes Eska’s Apprentice. An old adage goes: “the toughest trials test you truest” – and these events challenge their fortitude through tenuous partnerships, intellectual rivalries, and battles of weapons’ mastery. Along the way, each contestant must attempt to overcome personal demons that haunt them. In this tale of ideal dreams and lucid aspirations, these competitors find theirs threatened by deceit, betrayal, sabotage—and even flesh—as all become vital to success…

This is one thriller that really thrills. Tim, a specialist in crisis management, is swept up in a fast-paced, international plot to sell nuclear weapons to desert nomads that takes him on a mad dash from New York to Moscow to Timbuktu. But the more he learns, the more twisted the plot becomes as he discovers that the real fight is over a set of priceless ancient artifacts, purportedly subject to an ancient curse, discovered in the Sahara by his corrupt brother and his billionaire partner. Along the way, Tim falls in love with the billionaire’s beautiful daughter and is stalked across continents by a rogue’s gallery of colorful characters intent on backstabbing and revenge. The author, Eli Dahle, an international lawyer who has lived most of his adult life abroad, brings the exotic locales in this novel, all of which he has lived in or visited, to vivid, fascinating life.

A fast-paced international crime memoir with a central plotline that reads like a sequel to Breaking Bad (Walter White goes international). With subtle humor and brutal honesty, I take readers along with me as I transform from innocent abroad into international fugitive, forced to flee Russia in the dead of night pursued by a ruthless billionaire bent on revenge. I start out as a naïve exchange student leaving his rural Midwestern town for the first time for the wilds of the Balkans. Through a combination of fate, ambition and circumstance, I transform over time into a highly successful international lawyer and, then, an international fugitive, wanted in various countries. My attempts at escape become increasingly desperate as I flee from Moscow to Berlin, to Los Angeles to Tel Aviv. Along the way, I fall for a beautiful but fatally flawed prostitute and almost die of an overdose following a harrowing drive along the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.

An incredible true story - in 1964 my father, British Javelin champion John McSorley, built a man-size box and shipped it from Heathrow airport. The airfreight was human; his friend Reg Spiers, a penniless young Australian athlete desperate to get home and win back his girl. He was in for the ride of his life; a nightmarish cocktail of turbulent cargo holds, forklift truck disasters and mind-altering dehydration. He’d risk everything for Annie, but little did she know, they'd soon be skipping bail on drug-smuggling charges. Follow the true-crime exploits of the young couple and their years of gripping, high-stakes dramas through India, Africa and Sri Lanka.
