A Hetalian in 2024! Greetings everyone! This is a Hetalia Russia(Ivan Braginsky) x Reader. It is more on the angsty side, but it does have some enjoyable moments. Don't worry, it has a good ending. **Synopsis:** Your once-close friend, Ivan Braginsky, has become a pariah, feared and despised by nearly everyone. Under strict orders from Alfred, you're forbidden to approach him, but when you find Ivan alone in the World Meeting conference room, his despair pulls at your heart. Against all warnings, you try to reconnect, only to be stopped by Alfred, who threatens to erase you if you comfort the man he now sees as an enemy. After the Cold War, many countries have noticed that Russia is quiet, dark, and more to himself than before. Not only is he keeping his feelings to himself, but he is also getting consumed by his own sorrow. Even though America holds a fear of Russia and his aura, he still has sympathy for the lonely nation. Therefore, he decides to help the nation and slowly develop a bond to heal the Russian's damaged heart. Little did America know that his sympathy and kindness would lead him down a harrowing love triangle between his closest ally, and a sunflower that has just blossomed.

There is many things we keep a secret, for many differemt reasons. We all have secrets, big or small. America is no exception. He has swept many things under the rug, and one day, he has to leave for an unknown reason. The countries know he has secrets, but how many, and are they important? Dangerous? He was never open with another country, always ignoring their questions. So, the nations look through his bag as a result and find something interesting... (;-; Context time. Don't expect routinely or fast updates. Not that big brain. America is the oldest between Canada, Mexico, and himself, Mexico being the baby. Canon can just screw off- cause imma be including some slight OOC moments, but for the majority he is in character, or just slightly out of it. This is history based but will be historically inaccurate at times. This is basically a normal 'cOuNtRiEs rEaDiNg DiArYs' story because I have headcanons and no life, and, America is my favorite ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Alfred likes freedom. Obviously. That's pretty much his brand. But like every country before him, life's not prefect. Trauma is different for everyone, as well as their way of coping with it. This story is a Marvel and Hetalia crossover. I wrote it with the mindset that most of the readers (if I get any at all) have probably only seen the Avengers movie and not the comic books, all though it has a very small feel of the WW2 that the Marvel comics portrayed.
