[NOW PUBLISHED ON AMAZON! You can buy it here: http://bit.ly/ColdFireBUY] [*SAMPLE ONLY* LAST 10 CHAPTERS REMOVED] [A Wattpad featured novel] Melissa has a rare, undiagnosed disease, or so say the doctors that did tests on her for half of her life. She doesn't need a medical certificate to tell her that she's different. She was born with a body temperature so low that most people would die before they even started living. Keyword: most. Somehow, Melissa has managed to live for fifteen years, but those years have not been without their hardships. The doctors told her that in order for her organs to function in such cold conditions, her body must absorb the heat from the surrounding air in a painful process dubbed a "heat attack", which slowly turns her temporary home freezing and uninhabitable. Forced to move from city to city in order to keep everyone in her vicinity alive, and plagued by the stares and hushed whispers that accompany her, Melissa tries to lead a normal life. But she's failing miserably. And when she's approached by the new kid in school, all hope of an ordinary life slips from her grasp. Suddenly, strange is the new normal, and Melissa finds herself wrapped up in a new world where ghosts aren't "just in her head", glass windows shatter unprovoked, and rare, undiagnosed diseases aren't actually diseases at all. And to top it all off, someone - or multiple someones - seem to want her dead. So much for normal... © 2013 by shayebay All Rights Reserved PUBLISHED JUNE 26, 2019 WITH TYPEWRITER PUB!! "You know I hate coffee." "Yeah, well, I hate you" ✖️✖️✖️ Cami hated smoking. She never understood why anyone did it. They were actually killing themselves and dragging out the process. They were turning their lungs to black shit. And what was worse was that they could give others second hand smoke! She didn't want to get lung cancer from someone else's crappy cigarette. She never thought she'd fall in love for a smoker. Ollie hated coffee. He had tried so hard to like it, but everything about it was unappealing. The smell, the bitter taste, the way it yellowed your teeth. Of course, he was an active smoker, so he didn't mind the yellowing part so much, you just had to brush a lot. The worst part was how coffee tasted on a girl's lips. It tasted almost like second hand coffee-if that was a thing. He never thought he would fall in love with someone who drank coffee-especially black coffee.

With the Mayor threatening to press charges and refusing to take her fathers offer, her parents decide the best thing for Lydia to do is give back to the town and show everyone that she’s as good as her last name implies. Volunteering to answer calls for the Suicide Hotline is depressing in itself. If she’s not getting calls about people threatening to jump off buildings, or wanting to talk about their multiple problems, then it’s immature boys prank calling for kicks and giggles. When one night a call comes in from a guy saying he’s thinking about ending his life, Lydia doesn't know if it’s a joke or not. But when the boy calls back every single night at the same time, Lydia spends hours upon hours trying to decipher the guy behind the call. Because what’s worse than falling for a guy you don’t even know? Falling for a guy too lost to even love you back.
