In the forests of Pandora, a spark burns brighter than fear itself. Elunai, a young Sarentu, has spent her life in captivity-until she finally tastes freedom among the Kinglor trees, the wings of her ikran beneath her, and the laughter of those she calls family. But beyond the safety of her home, danger is never far away. Once more, the Sky People threaten everything she loves. Alongside So'lek, Tamtey, and the other Sarentu, Elunai must learn what courage, trust, and family truly mean. When she volunteers for a mission that could cost her life, she does not expect the son of the legendary Toruk Makto-Neteyam-to change her fate, or her heart. A story of freedom, loyalty, and unbreakable bonds, set in a world where love and bravery shine brighter than any darkness. ⸻ Before you read: - This story contains spoilers for the Avatar films and the game Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. - Content warnings include death, mental health themes, violence, blood, injuries, self-harm, strong language, and sexual content. - This story is set in the Avatar universe, owned by Disney, Lightstorm Entertainment, Massive Entertainment, and Ubisoft. Tamtey often had strange dreams. She would dream of a voice whispering to her, saying "He's coming". She never understood what that meant. For many years, she grew up with her friends in T.A.P, being trained in the ways of humans. But somehow, memories of her ancestors could reach her in her dreams. She learned more of their language, their stories, their ways. She couldn't understand how it was possible, but it seemed Eywa gave her a gift. Things change when Mercer shuts down the program and the humans are evacuated from Pandora. In an effort to save them, their teacher Alma locks them away in cyro pods where they stay for 15 years. When they finally woke, they were met with members of the resistance. It was when Tamtey met So'lek. The strong fierce warrior who lost almost all of his clan to the sky people. The moment their eyes met, they felt something spark between them. And that small spar was only the beginning

The time of war had ended. Peace flourished as the remnants of the RDA fled the Western Frontier, only leaving behind scraps of metal as proof they'd ever been there. For a time, Pandora began to heal. She reclaimed what the sky-people had ruined, stitching the wounds of time closed with root and vine. Life moved forward. The Resistance turned its focus to the living world Ewya breathed. Alma settled into her human body again. Ri'nela learned what it meant to carry the weight of a tsahìk's voice. Teylan shaped metal and wires into something meant to protect, rather than destroy. Yet, Tamtey did not find peace. Sleep brought the memories of TAP that haunted her, driving her from her bed night after night. Only the soft wind beneath unfamiliar stars offered any peace. She was rarely alone for long. So'lek always found her there, sharing quiet hours until the dawn chased away the dark, trading dreams and the horrors that kept them awake. Still, the forest shook with unease. Ewya's song wavered, strained by something distant -- quickly approaching. Smoke stained the horizon. Thin and gray, whispering against the clouds. A single flake of ash drifted down, landing on top of Tamtey's bouncing knee. So'lek reached out and swiped it away, pinching it until it vanished. "Ash..." he murmured, gaze fixed on the rising plumes beyond the trees. "And fire," Tamtey replied, her voice unwavering. The forest fell silent around them. Even the animals did not cry out. A new enemy was coming.

The hero world is full of long patrols, sleepless nights, and work that lasts far into the evening. It's no wonder the Justice League had become coffee addicts, and it's also no wonder why they like the young barista that owns the twenty-four-hour coffee bar in Keystone City. Honestly, their addiction was all Flash's fault anyway.
