It was a normal day for Gon and Killua who had just reunited a year after being separated. They were both 15 and living in an apartment in York New. Alluka had insisted on staying at Whale Island with aunt Mito. "Killua let's get that cat!" Gon had said, on their way to a café, running into an ally following a strange cat. "Don't just run off BAKA!" Killua yelled but nevertheless followed his idiotic friend. Little did they know that this was no ordinary cat, but a cat that would turn their whole world upside down; rather take them into another world. How will Killua and Gon cope in a world where killing isn't the norm and where being a 'hunter' meant nothing, but instead 'Pro heroes' are at the top of the food chain. And are Killua and Gon the only victims of this mysterious cat?

Ever since Killua was young, his mother and father didn't get along. They would yell, and fight, and yell some more. He tried his best to shield Alluka from the worst of it, but that meant that he heard every word. While he was covering her ears, he listened as they shouted insults and sweared at each other. Is this what love is? Neither of them seemed happy at all, how could the other three just ignore all this? Piggy was playing on his computer usually, Kalluto liked to draw, and Illumi was always out doing work. One day when he was ten, he was sitting on the couch trying not to listen to his parents argue when he heard a crash. "THAT'S IT! I'M DONE. GET OUT OF MY HOUSE YOU BITCH!" he flinched, only to be dragged out of his seated position by his mother. She was crying and mad. "mother?" he said quietly. She glared at his father. "I'M TAKING HIM WITH ME!" he blinked up in confusion. Take me? where? The next thing he knew, he was sitting in a one room apartment with his mother. "love is pain sweetheart, always remember that" his mother said. Killua didn't understand what she meant at the time, he just nodded. "ok mother" and he gave her a hug, she seemed sad. The first thing Killua felt was pain. It laced through his back and shoulders. The second thing he felt was rain as it pelted down on his face. Suddenly there was a bright light shining through his eyelids. "the hell? Is he dead?" Killua groaned, opening his eyes. As soon as he did so he felt a splitting headache. "fucking god-" He sat up, rubbing his head. "why does it feel like I fell off a cliff?" Killua looked around to see what looked like an old man with a scarf? His flashlight hurt Killua's eyes so he couldn't see well but he knew there was another person. "hey kid are you alright?" he asked. Killua chuckled "It kinda feels like that one time-" he cut himself off. "wait where the hell am I?" (note: the cover is not mine)

When someone is born they get a Lovenote. It is a notebook that they can write in and the words go directly to their soulmate. It can not be destroyed, or made. These gifts were given to the humans, by the Seikamis. Life gods. They are the very opposite of Shinigamis. They don't live in heaven, but in a realm outside of it. Much like how the Shinigamis don't live in hell. Light always had his Lovenote, but never wrote in it. He felt it wasn't necessary, and that he should focus on school. L on the other hand wrote in it all the time. He thought he didn't have a soulmate since Light never wrote in it, so he wrote whatever he wanted. Except cases. He never wrote about them. It wasn't until Light graduated that he met L. Light's father needed help with a case, and soon Light and L found each other working side by side. What will happen?

You can't possibly think that I'd fall for such futile tactics," he said, pretending that Light's threats had been ineffective. However, Light wasn't easily fooled.
