It all started with a virus. The virus ripped through the world like a wild fire. Not many survived. Some thought to be lucky to have survived, some thought otherwise, as they were in a "living hell" or so they said. Some called it the end of the world, some called it an epidemic, while others joked that it was the zombie apocalypse. No one knows how it started, or when really. All I know is that I'm alive, and mostly alone.

This story is based in the future in a city called Sinamor, you probably haven't heard of it, or it's beliefs. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mackenzie didn't like the council at all. They were taking away her teen years, and her choices. No one else seems to mind, except for her. Where Mackenzie lives they don't have love. It's just a myth, something told in stories. Every September 1st, every 16 year old must go to The Choosing. The Choosing is where your future will be decided for the rest of your life. The council tells you where your going to live, what job your going to have, and most importantly who you're going to marry. What happens when Mackenzie doesn't want to play by the rules? Will she ever find love? And most importantly how will the council feel about it?
