He just kept smiling while shaking his head. "After you, Snowflake," he said, sweeping his hand, but I only growled at him, thoroughly unamused by the name. "Call me Snowflake one more time--" I started, my voice low, but he seemed unfazed by it. "Your death threats are getting stale, do you not think, love?" He asked, emphasizing the last word with a raised eyebrow. When she took on the dare, the last thing she expected was to be captured like a wild animal and brought to a grand palace belonging to one of the three Gordon boys. She certainly didn't expect to play the part of a Protector or to constantly question her emotions for a pair of arrogant, blue eyes. (First installment of the Gordon series. Kendall Gordon's story.) CONTAINS VERY MATURE CONTENT. "Katarina," my name passed his lips in a gruff whisper and I felt like I was going to melt into a puddle. Rafe's hands ran over my body as he backed me up to the bed. Everywhere our skin touched a fire burned within me. It consumed me. In that moment I wanted him more than anything. I was hyper aware of his hardness pressed against me and I bit my lip. Looking into his dark eyes I could see his desire. His mouth was on my neck, his teeth grazing the skin. I let out a moan as he hit my sweet spot and I could feel his body react to it. He pressed harder against me and slowly slid a hand down the front of my jeans, leaving a tingling path as he made his way. "I want you to say it Katarina," he said. I felt his hand stroking me and I bit my lip. There was no doubt I wanted more, and he wanted to give it to me. "Say what?" I asked, my voice strained as I tried to hold my composure. "You know what," he said sliding my shirt up, sucking on my exposed breast as he teased me below. I moaned again and I could feel him smile. He thrust two fingers in and my control started breaking. I couldn't remember the previous arguments with myself, I couldn't remember why I had been so afraid of him, I couldn't remember why I had tried staying away. All I knew was I didn't want him to stop, I wanted more. "Rafe, I'm-"

My first mistake had been re-noticing people in my classes, if I hadn't done that; I wouldn't have re-noticed Tristan Everdeen. I should have known that the moment I had become entranced in those eyes of his-silver, deep, contemplative-that things never would be the same. But of course, I didn't. Because since when does life let you off the hook and just allow you to know those kind of things? *NOTE: This story was written when I was much younger and doesn't reflect my current views on healthy relationships. There are also errors that should be fixed with an edit run-through but I don't currently have the time to do what would basically be a complete rewrite of the book. If this still is good with you, thank you for the support on my story!*
