"I'm not some prize in a lotto you asshole!" "Well then I want my $3000 back because I paid for a ticket with your name on it" *Wrote this several years ago (Haven't looked at it since) at the beginning of high school. Slight cringe (maybe) and minimal character development*

Writing help from an English/Creative Writing major. This is practically a free writing class. It's full of useful writing tips and tricks that I've picked up in my writing career/common mistakes found while editing others' work. I hope you can find use out of this. I add to it every time I think of something else that beginners would find useful. These are in no particular order, so feel free to refer to the Table of Contents to skip to a topic that you're interested in. **I am currently working on rewriting and editing this into a real book, which I'll publish on Amazon** PS: I am rarely ever on Wattpad, so if you message me, I'm very unlikely to answer. I'm not ignoring you; I'm just not on here anymore. Please vote for this so more people will see it and be able to use this! Also, if you have any questions about writing, comment or message me and I'll help. I'll also add chapters at your request. If there's a particular aspect of writing you'd like advice on, I'll post it. It's marked as completed, but I add to it when I think of something else. "YOUR BOOK HELPED ME A LOT!!! THIS IS THE BEST BOOK FOR NEW WRITERS THAT I HAVE ENCOUNTERED ON WATTPAD" -dpe281 "This helps so much!! ^^ thank you thank you thank you!!" -Just_Katyftw "this was so useful thank you!" -Galaxysfaraway "That's so helpful! Thank you! :) " -fandomsmember Best Rating Yet: #2 in non-fiction!

The advice you will find here follows the Chicago Manual of Style which is widely used by American publishers. There are some variances in style from country to country (and even from American publisher to American publisher.) **It may be easier to search the Table of Contents, as there is no rhyme or reason right now to chapter order.**

You want to publish your book. I did, too. It happened, and the more I learn, the more I realize having an English major doesn't prepare you to be a published author. Here's what they don't teach you in school about what it takes to survive in the publishing business. I can promise you one thing: If you want your book in print badly enough, you can make it happen if you don't give up. #140 in non-fiction 1/19/16 #236 in non-fiction 1/18/16 #371 in non-fiction 3/1/16 #281 in non-fiction 3/3/16 #150 in non-fiction 3/18/16 #67 in non-fiction 8/19/2016 #960 in non-fiction 1/28/2017 with 6.7K views

***Please note that this book has been taken down because it's been published, and you can see only the sample chapters of the published version. You can find the links to both ebook and paperback in my profile bio. ------------- I have always been bullied and trapped in darkness. I hoped life would get better when I moved to my mother's hometown, but it only got worse because it was there that I met my unrequited crush, Hayden Black. He despised me from day one, and even more when I became best friends with his twin, Kayden. Kayden gave light to my life, but my happiness with him lasted only until one night two years ago. That night Kayden died because of me. Half of me died with him. The other half was left to bleed, suffering Hayden's and his friends' constant bullying. Now I must endure one more year before I can finally escape them and go to college. This year has to be different. Either I will become stronger, or they will finally break me into nothing. ----------- Highest rank in Romance: #1 on 10/28/2017 Bullied won the Best Romance and the Best Diverse Book award and the Bullied series won the Best Trilogy/Series award in The Fiction Awards 2018. --------- I wrote this novel for #NaNoWriMo2016 #NaNoWinner2016
