eleven has to be adopted. mike and eleven decided it would be better if eleven got adopted by another family, so they could be together. an unknown hawkins habitant filled in the adoption forms instead. when mike sees eleven in the halls at school, he senses something isn't right. he thinks she is hiding something, but eleven wouldn't lie to him, would she?

And perhaps is the greatest grief to swallow, the taste of being left behind while another has moved on? Mike Wheeler is traumatized, yeah, and there is no going back to normal. Will rescued, Eleven gone, coping skills nonexistent. He's trying his best to keep it together for the party, but watching your first girlfriend disappear into nothingness is certainly the kind of thing that will mess you up for life. By chance he's thrown back into the tangle of the Upside Down, opening a whole other gate of problems; and this time, the clock is ticking. ***Currently in the process of rewriting!!***
