After two years from when Dessiah and her daughter Delaney were thrown out of her home in the rain by her trifling cheating husband, she can finally feel normal and stable. Currently working for Simmons & Simmons Corp grocery chain, when a promotion that moves her to Japan presents itself she steps out on faith to see where it leads. Which was Right into the arms of a man who had seen her at her worst and was a saving grace. The only thing is now he is her Boss and a complete jerk and doesn't even recognize her. Detrick is beyond bitter after his experiences with women being deceitful. He has become cold and crass. The polar opposite of who he once was. Until Dessiah crosses his path. Is she worth the risk? That question infuriates him so much that he will do anything to fight his feelings. Except with her it's strong...will their pasts pain be too much for these two to move forward...together?
