1960. North Atlantic Ocean, 63° 2' N, 29° 55' W. The city is holding its breath. Shortly after civil war launched in the suboceanic city of Rapture, a young girl awakes to find herself in a world far from the scope of reality. Left to her own limited devices, Irvette is introduced to the genetically corrupted and bloodthirsty inhabitants of the city, including into the odd madman Douglas Ward. They launch a dubious partnership, armed with only a makeshift arsenal and hope for ascension. But as they battle Rapture's inhuman residents, they begin to realize the truth of how they got there, why the world is crumbling around them, and who they're truly fighting against.
