Alex is a sweet 10 year old girl with a dash of trouble. She has a temper when she needs it. She is forced to go to a foster home. Her mother is a complete slut and doesn't care for her. Her father abused her through her whole life. In the Foster home she is stuck not only with a roommate. But one who is a boy, Stiles. Soon enough Stiles and Alex become the best of friends. Until the day came when the King family came for Stiles. Alex is heartbroken and doesn't know what to do. Through her teenage years her inner rebel comes out. She runs away from the foster home and goes off on her own. By the age of 18 she gets busted by the police for possession of marijuana. When she gets out, still glued to bad habits she bumps into a stranger on the street... Whose coffee happened to accidentally get dumped on her. In a rage she yells at the man. Then she takes a good look at his face. No. It can't be. The man apologizes and gives his number to her, to call and make it up to her. Awkward.

Silence lurks around me. I'm not little miss popular. My only friend is my shadow... or this pocket knife that has connections to my wrist. He slips through the halls like he knows everyone. They approach him. I just watch. Everything changes when i see him, waiting at my locker. "Hey" I sigh. "Hi." He smirks. "Shy?" I turn to my locker blushing. "It's alright" he says. I look into his kind eyes. "Come with me to lunch?" I nod. He holds out an arm and i take it and walk with him to the cafeteria. It's not a crush he has... Right?
