More than eight years before the novel opens, Anne Elliot, then a lovely, thoughtful, warm-hearted 19 year old, accepted a proposal of marriage from the handsome young naval officer Frederick Wentworth. He was clever, confident, and ambitious, but poor and with no particular family connections to recommend him. Sir Walter, Anne's fatuous, snobbish father and her equally self-involved older sister Elizabeth were dissatisfied with her choice, maintaining that he was no match for an Elliot of Kellynch Hall, the family estate. Her older friend and mentor, Lady Russell, acting in place of Anne's late mother, persuaded her to break the engagement. Now 27 and still unmarried, Anne re-encounters her former love when his sister and brother-in-law, the Crofts, take out a lease on Kellynch. Wentworth is now a captain and wealthy from maritime victories in the Napoleonic wars. However, he has not forgiven Anne for rejecting him. While publicly declaring that he is ready to marry any suitable young woman who catches his fancy, he privately resolves that he is ready to become attached to any appealing young woman except for Anne Elliot.

"If the world can't handle the truth, give them a spectacular lie." Bitch. That's what they called me at my old school. I disagree: I'm just brutally honest, that's all. Some people don't like honesty. Exhibit A: Matthew's family. None of them want to acknowledge that their Golden Boy is gay. Exhibit B: My Mother. I only told her the truth: that she was a crappy parent who never should've gotten knocked up in the first place. But she was so offended that she shipped me off to my fabulously wealthy father and his walking-billboard-for-plastic-surgery of a wife. So I devised a brilliant plan. My new friend Matthew was sick of hiding his sexuality. I was tired of obnoxious rich boys hitting on me. So why not pretend to be dating? He wouldn't have to answer uncomfortable questions anymore, and I'd enter my new school as the girlfriend of the star quarterback. It should be easy, right? Of course, I didn't plan on falling for Matthew's brother.

When Emelina De Sota returned to her hometown after her freshman year at college, she never expected anything like what was handed to her when she got there. All she wanted out of the summer was to relax and possibly spend some quality time with her brother. With a past long thought buried coming back to haunt her, Em has a lot on her plate. Not to mention her brother(the current leader of the Spanish Thorns) and a certain up and coming gangster that can't quite let her go no matter what he does. You'd think that would be enough for one girl to handle but when the person who recruited her brother into the Thorns comes back to cause a lot of trouble, Em finds herself in a rather precarious situation. She can either help her brother tear down the well-oiled machine he's built up around them both or let the past and a terrible loss pull her so far down that no one will be able to help her out of it. Book Two in the Spanish Thorns Series ~ * ~ It's true. When I started this story it was PG-13 but then I changed it to R after some reflection.Generally the book is going to be very mild but because of certain key scenes...the R rating was warranted. Not to mention the characters swear like sailors. :) Anyways, this story includes bloodloss, gunshots, Red Hot Chili Peppers, tears, bathroom breaks, Robert Frost, and some other random stuff.

Eleanor "Elle" is fun and outgoing. She's a talented young girl full of dreams and life...which makes her the exact opposite of what her stuck-up snobby family wants her to be. Although Elle's been "disowned" for leaving behind the Mercer family name and fortune to pursue her dreams in Florence, Italy, her older sister decides to invite her to her wedding. Reluctantly, Elle agrees to be the M.O.H (Maid of Honor) and travels back to the States three weeks before the wedding. What Elle finds there shocks her and takes her on a whirlwind adventure; the groom and future husband of the ever perfect Simone Mercer is an old flame of hers that's best left extinguished. Will this trip serve as a means of closure for both, or will Elle end up Stealing the Groom? *The Wedding Party Series Book I*

More than anything, Grae Winters wants to live an average, boring life. No surprises, no magic, and definitely no vampires. Unfortunately for Grae, she's anything but normal. Cursed with a power she doesn't understand, pretending to be ordinary is difficult when living in a city of the bizarre and supernatural. Grae's life only gets weirder when vampires start disappearing off Roccia Nera's streets, and she's coerced into searching for a master vampire's missing daughter. If Grae fails to find her, she'll have to take the woman's place in the master's cadre...for eternity. In a city where normalcy is overrated, Grae's life is about to get much stranger. Shawna Roberts is the girl that every guy turns to when they need a fake date, a fake girlfriend, a fake fling to make some other girl jealous, a fake couple photo to send to their parents... Shawna's pretty much seen it all. But no matter what they pay her for, everything she does has one common factor: it's all fake. That doesn't make being their paid girl much easier, though. Adam Ferrell is the campus heartthrob with the appearance of a god, an ego the size of Canada, and worshiped by everyone to monumentally ridiculous proportions. In Shawna's mind, it's a miracle his head fits through his shirt every morning. Yet despite their instant dislike for one another, Adam and Shawna each need what the other can offer. When Adam unexpectedly pushes into Shawna's life with a business deal, she's torn between her feelings and her sense of duty, which protects a secret she has kept for years, from even those closest to her. And as the two begrudgingly get to know each other, masks start slipping and secrets come spilling out, forcing each of them to confront some of their darkest moments and deepest fears.
