When Damion is 14 he writes a love letter to the woman he was in love with, Chloe. He told her he needed help proofreading his five-page paper. She came telling him she didn't feel the same way, and she was in a relationship. She then told him that she's thought about it a few times but, she values her relationship with her boyfriend. Damion tells her he'll wait as long as he can, jokingly; because he knows there is no way he could ever get a girl like that. Then she says he'll have to wait 7 years and they both chuckle, but he never forgets that moment. From that point on he starts to plan his whole life with her.
