I shivered and held onto the little dignity I had, which was my ripped up shirt covering my breasts. My mouth went dry as my heart sped up in my chest. He ran his fingers through my hair before jerking my head to the side, exposing my neck out to him even more. "S-shade," I choked out, in a form of plea. Was he really going to feed off me? Did I push him over the edge of no return? His head was dropped down, shading his face from my view, and his chest was heaving up and down as he breathed in deeply. At last, he looked me in the eyes and my body froze. Red eyes starred at me, burning me like the heat of the sun. Mia lived alone for years, killing vampires left to right, until on day they came for her. With no back up and being hunted for weeks, non-stop, they finally captured her. You can take a cat out of the jungle, but you can't take the jungle out of the cat. It's safe to assume Mia is going to have a difficult time adjusting to a moody, obnoxious, sadistic vampire who is now her new master.
