I open the heavy metal door, and leave it to close by itself not bothering about the banging sound the door makes, I turn around and breathe in the crisp morning air. It's 4:25 am. My breathing is erratic and I feel the frustration and anger that's been bubbling up take centre stage. The sound of the streets coming to life below plays the role of my very own background music for this auspicious occasion. I step up to the railing, curling my fingers around the cold metal and look down, taking deep breaths and trying to calm down. I get up and lean on over the ledge, squeezing my eyes shut, dancing with the possibility of death. The moment is right. Everything that has gone wrong in my life has been leading me up to this point. My breaking point. I feel calm though, as if this is how my end is supposed to be and maybe if I just lean a little bit further ..
