My life had been perfect. I was raised in the perfect home, blessed with the perfect family, surrounded by the perfect friends. I was the "golden girl" as my older brother so often called me. No one ever seemed to have a mean thing to say about me.
My parents were angels. They had never caused harm, never fought nor bickered. They were perfect, but everything perfect always gets screwed over in the end. In the end it doesn't matter how hard you try or how long you suffer. In the end no one cares. In the end your alone.
Hope Livingston had grown up being constantly told that she was perfect and for a while she even started to believe it until one tragic accident left her a wreck. Betrayed by her closest friends with no parents to turn to Hope decides that its time for a change. Replacing her blonde hair with black, her bright outfits for leather jackets and studs and replacing her "Perfect" attitude for one of solitude will Hope be able to cope?
To top it all off there is a new boy at school, he seems nice enough, but will he mix in with the wrong crowds? Will Hope be able to show him a life different from that of the narrow minded idiots that infest her school like rats?
