After the tragic death of the King and Queen during an ambush, you were put in charge of the dying kingdom; you were the eldest daughter and the most fit for the crown. Chara, your sister, was only just a baby during that time, so you've taken care of her and practically adopted her as your daughter. Unfortunately, she was the only relative you had left, so you swore to protect her for as long as you lived. Hoping you could lead the kingdom back to its glory days, you were willing to take any opportunities to strengthen it, the cost didn't matter as long as it didn't damage the people you cared about. One day while picking flowers in the royal garden, Chara wandered off onto Mt. Ebott, where it was rumored that monsters were trapped under for centuries, and disappeared. You were put in an anxious frenzy and demanded that the whole kingdom searched until she was found. Fortunately, she came back a couple of days later, but she was not alone. Chara had broken the barrier and freed all the monsters. You welcomed them right into your kingdom, it was what your parents would have done, but with all these extra mouths to feed and all the extra space and resources needed to provide for them, you were going to run out and everyone would go hungry. Desperate for any kind of help for your subjects, you accepted the wedding request of a mysterious king that promised lands of riches and resources, much to a certain taco-loving skeleton's dismay. With many obstacles standing in your way, those being feelings, duties, responsibilities, promises and more, you lead everyone into what would be known as the "Golden Age of the Humans and Monsters". Certainly a moment to be forever remembered and recorded in history. Remember, this is a short story! Prologue: "Where am I?" Geno groaned, his eyes blinded with light. He looked around, his surroundings caught his attention. He was in a white void. Typical. Not to far where he stood, a dark figure stood there, as if it was expecting Geno. "Error, stop playin' around," Geno shouted, as he walked to the shadowy figure. His eyes widens, as he saw his boyfriend, Death, hand with hand with the worst person he ever hated. Stacy. They move closer, They connected their mouths. His eyes swells up with tears, as his hands shakes violently. A sudden force jab his chest, as oozes of blood spilled out more. He screams, louder and louder, but the pain wouldn't stop. "No, stop, please," he begged, but his eyes blurred out with Death smiling right at her, mouthing 'I love you' over and over. "Geno!" He opens his eyes, as he jerks his body to sit upward, as he looked around. He was in his room, the beautiful shade of rose swept along his eyes. He looks over to see a goat, his best and mother-like friend, Life. "Geno, you scared me! You started to scream," Life stammered as she gave him water,"Here. I want you to relax before you go anywhere else, Okay?" She smiled, which, Geno like about her the most. Her smile can really shine away the darkness. Geno smiled back as he waved back to Life, watching her walk downstairs. He sighed, as he stretched. A light blue hooded item stood near the doorway, on a hat rack. He looks at it and sighed. That night really blew him away. Well, almost. But he had to pay. Immensely. Darkness filled his eyes, as he could no longer smile, 'I hope.. ..I'll never love again.'
