Ragnar, his wife and their sons Ivar and Hvitserk travel to the kingdom of Myrhult in Sweden to form an alliance with King Valtar, and celebrate the marriage of Ivar and Valtar's daughter Rùna. Since both were blessedby the gods in their individual ways, Ragnar and Valtar see their union as a good sign, only Rùna does not agree, and her condition gives her enough reason for mistrust.
