Hadley Jamison doesn't know what to think when she hears that her classmate, Archer Morales, committed suicide. She didn't exactly know him, but that doesn't stop her from feeling like there was something she could have done to help him. So to Hadley's surprise, on the very night of Archer's funeral, she has a run in with Death himself and is offered the chance to go back in time to stop Archer from ending his life. The catch? She only has twenty-seven days to do it. And if Hadley doesn't succeed? Well, she doesn't want to think about that.

In which a girl can't go a day without an anxiety attack and a boy can't go a day without noticing

‘He went out of the room. In his boxers. Again. Like the laws and principles of the universe, which were scientifically proven, I couldn’t help but scowl. He smirked. “Well, stop drooling all over me.” I wrinkled my nose. “Right. Good luck with your delusions.” With that, I prepared to leave. Cam’s jaw twitched. He walked closer to me. Closer still. His green eyes held me in place. Before I knew it, he was standing inches from me. I was holding my breath. He smiled confidently. “Falling in love with me?” I didn’t know why... but I was speechless.’ Seventeen year-old Shea Collins’s life was pretty much falling apart. She was flunking her Physics class, she has a hundred bucks to pay to a long-lost childhood friend she could barely remember, she was receiving anonymous declarations of love from a secret admirer (which were completely embarrassing), and now her spot on the school paper is in jeopardy. What she wants: To keep her spot as the feature editor of the school paper. How she plans to do it: To survive being a phantom writer. A writer no one would know of. A mystery. She's beautiful, funny and easy to get along with and just by looking at her, you'd think that she's the perfect girl, living in the perfect world. On the inside though, just waking up and living her day-to-day life is a struggle for Sawyer. Well, aware of this fact, Sawyer's mother forces to see a psychiatrist after school on a daily basis in order to cope with the tragic events Sawyer encountered a year prior. Now meet Graham Cambridge. Those who don't know him could easily stereotype him as being a blunt, selfish, egotistical golden boy, just because he likes to party and play football. Those who actually know him though know that he's actually quite the opposite of all of those things. When Graham transfers from his elite prep school to Sawyer's high school and quickly takes an interest in her, things go from bad to worse. At least, that's what Sawyer's convinced herself of. What people don't realize though is that maybe they were wrong about Graham Cambridge and that his life is about as far from perfect as they come and that he and Sawyer are alike in more ways than one. Two completely different teenagers that maybe aren't all that different after all are about to embark on a wild ride that neither of them could have ever expected. Can they help each other get past their demented previous tragedies? Or are their bygones too great to ever escape them? And can Sawyer ever truly be saved? Full of romance, heartbreak and just a little bit of fate, the next couple of months will challenge both Sawyer and Graham in ways they never thought possible. She's the ultimate introvert, but she cannot be classified as a good girl. Then again, she's not exactly a rebel. Her favorite color is purple and in 8th grade, she threw up on the blind kid in the middle of a presentation on Dolphins. That's about all anybody knows about her. Hidden beneath a blanket of PTSD and social anxiety is the quirky, insensible, headstrong and sarcastic girl who lives life with an internal monologue of comebacks she doesn't actually say. Alec Kendrick, smoldering hot, very typical stereotyped bad boy. No, he's not rich with absent parents, nor is he poor and struggling to provide for his family. He has two brothers and a baby sister, who he gets a smite bit overprotective over. Alec likes his motorbikes, leather jackets and the occasional back talk to the teachers, plus picking a couple of fights and some drinking. Admittedly, so he's not a total angel either. These two very different people would probably have not even crossed paths if it wasn't for a mixed up folder, a weekend lost in the woods, a stolen copy of an embarrassing tape, crazy siblings, dancing best friends and of course, some sparks.
