The spirits of the dead are real just as they are always with you. For as long as anyone can remember, ghosts have always been able to materialize in the physical plane of existence, making their presence known to everyone in the world. However, with the existence of good ghosts come bad ghosts. Evil spirits known as Hollows have existed just as long as normal ghosts have. Their appetite for souls knows no bounds just as their hunger for living souls. To that end, warriors, wielding powers beyond normal comprehension, have sworn a duty to protect the souls of the living and dead against these monsters to maintain the balance of souls between worlds. These warriors are known as the Soul Reapers. Years later, Quirks have begun appearing within society and have made up 80 percent of the world's population.
