Five-year-old Kendall Frodell is a genius and has been ever since she was born. The fact that she can and does read high school material, can mentally solve a wide array of equations, and has an incredible memory for trivia could've all easily skipped her from Kindergarten to fifth grade. But Kenny's intelligence (along with her voice) hides behind vague, situation-based index cards and rewritten answers. Things quickly change when she becomes afflicted with peculiar fainting spells-- ones where she walks, writes, and even solves equations while seemingly unconscious. Her erudition is unwillingly revealed, and she's whisked off to an academy for people like her. Very suddenly becoming aware of a whole society of gifted children, school has never been more challenging. An enforced social hierarchy, infamously harsh teachers, blockheaded children-- and the brief disappearances of her classmates only add to everything. In the style of both Ender's Game and the X-Men, The Prodigies is a piece of speculative fiction that will leave you...curious. Highest Ranking: #2 in Science Fiction [©2017-2018. This memoir is a stream of consciousness retelling of my early days as a writer, and how my life is what it is now. It's fairly accurate; names have been changed to protect the "innocent" (snicker). This work was originally a prologue to my 1st effort, "Loving the Towers", featuring Clayne Crawford. It turned into a lengthy reminiscence of my beginnings as an author. It was so far off the "Towers" track that it no longer filled its role as a prologue. I pulled it out to let it stand on its own. #COWAwards2k18 #COWAwards2k18 #ammonawards2018 #bjcawards2018 #eleganceawards #hiddengensawards2k18 #newauthorawards #panteratigris #pastelawards2k18 #seta2018 #shookethawards #thedynamicawards #theelectricawards #themagicalawards #theoverachieverawards #theriseawards #theroyaltyawards #theshootingstarawards2018 #treeawards #wattiesretry2018 #ppawards2018 #loonaverseawards2018 #pphoenixawards #thecosmicawards2018 #thediamondawards #thewritersvoice2018 #themysticalawards #geometricawards #breathtakingawards #thevisionawards2018 #ohanaawards #mystiqueawards

11x featured wattpad story. Before everything, it's assumed there was nothing, but what if there was no real difference between the two? Just two extreme philosophies from the first conflict. The planet Huom has been under observation for longer than should technically be possible. The primary watcher, a bitter black hole, is excited to see that there is finally a proverbial Darkness at the end of the tunnel. Meanwhile, on the planet, in the freezing mountains of Empris, Lyeasrakardsul, the oldest living sorcerer, suffers from devastating nightmares. At the same time, far away in the sandstone desert of Zenon, Herschel, a man filled to the brim with weird ideas is escaping a prison filled with strange old men. What does all this have to do with arsehole Gods, hairy Dwarfs, frustrated Afreets, curious Knomes, lizard-women, and nude Áettar? Perhaps Nothing, perhaps Everything... but why can't it be both?
