Maggy's eyes grew large to see who was the man. "Andy!?" she thought to herself. Andrei lovingly touched Lily's face. Maggy watched. She didn't know but she felt the silent crack of her heart slowly breaking. She holds her chest as if trying to stop the crashing. Andrei still hugging Lily. "It's alright. We'll talk to her tomorrow," he then kissed Lily's forehead and hugged her tight. "We'll tell her about us as well, right?" Lily looked up at him. "I don't want her to have a wrong idea," she added. "Yes, we will." Andrei kissed her forehead again and hugged her. That's when Maggy lost it. In the silence of the night, she heard her heart broke into a million pieces. Andrei, the man she was sure her mate, was in love with her best friend. No matter what she says he will not listen. He cares about Lily more than her. He will not do anything to hurt her so he wouldn't listen. It is safer that way. And her best friend who cares so much about her, she just caused her unnecessary problems. She cannot imagine telling Lily, her boyfriend might be her mate. She felt sad and so heartbroken, and most of all she felt horrible. He saw Andrei looked at her way, and she sure Andrei saw the pain in her eyes he had never seen. Andy loosens up the hug and looked Maggy straight in her eyes. They stared at each other for seems like a long time when suddenly the town clock struck 12 and the sound echoed in the entire territory. August 1st. "It's 12 now. Maggy's 13th birthday!" Lily said excitedly. "Com'on! Maggy should be at Jed's.." she didn't continue as she followed where Andrei was looking. When she turned around she saw Maggy. Maggy smiled sadly. "Happy birthday to me," she said her voice was cracking as she was holding her tears not to fall.
