Paul is a teacher, and Percy is a natural troublemaker. On top of that, he looks like he dipped his wardrobe in punk and teen angst. They constantly argue, and he's not getting help. But, against Percy's request, they get married. It doesn't get better. The arguing still continues. Percy continues to act out. And when Luke died, Percy lashes out. Luke was his hero. His will to live. And he's gone.

The thing so incredible that the scientists and experimentalists loved most, was his DNA was alterable. They could give him a chemical and his body would turn it into a power that he absorbed.
