Makoto wants to confess his long lasting love towards Haruka, but the other boy is only ever thinking about swimming and water. But when Makoto attempts to save Rei in a storm and nearly drowns, Haruka begins to think about another human instead of swimming.

The night after Makoto had almost drowned, Haru is awfully protective over him and doesn't leave his side. After giving it much thought, Makoto asks him why he is acting that way. Haru is then forced to fess up and tell his friend the truth - but it ends in a way that neither of them expected. MakoHaru fluff! I do not own the Free!
