The end of high school for others is the time to get drunk, maybe get laid or just have fun with friends who will be forgotten soon enough. Lynae with her three best friends, on the other hand, have decided to take a hiking trip to the Alps and spend some quality time in nature. But like in movies, their trip doesn't go as planned. Midnight Achilles Arch was born different. She didn't cry when she was just delivered. She just blinked her bubbly grey eyes open and started staring at the people around her. She didn't bask in the attention that came with being a royal princess like her brothers and sisters either. She didn't like the thousands of eyes that bore into her whenever she entered a room. She liked her own company and she liked to read, preferably alone or with her mother. She didn't get her special Xlinx or Vampire gifts when she became 12 either. Her siblings doubted her genes when she couldn't heal quicker than normal people and was unable run as fast as the wind. But her mother always told her that they were just jealous as she was special in her very own way. Like the way she could sense danger before something happened, and the way she had a 'friend' who always looked out for her. And exactly like the way how she revived that crow that hit her bedroom window one evening. "They tell me I'm different mommy," She had said against her mother's neck late one night as Rose held her 7-year-old darling in her arms. Rosemarie smiled. "You are different, baby girl, but in a good way. You're something special." "Like you mommy?" She blinked up at her mom, her grey orbs glimmering under the moonlight. "Yeah," She kissed her on the forehead, "Just like me...Only better." *Xlinx: a supernatural creature that has divine special powers. Spin-off of Vampire Mates and Dark Mates

A tale told between two points of view, spaced between vast oceans of time. Within the depths of her psyche, Ava James grapples with a label that has haunted her since childhood: Crazy. Psychotic. Deluded. She's always suffered with hallucinations featuring a figure straight out of Norse Mythology. But not everything is as it seems. Something is telling her that these hallucinations and dreams are an echo of forgotten memories of her time as an Asgardian herself. As the line between her dreams and reality blurs, Ava discovers a truth that transcends time and sanity: she is not merely Ava James; she is the reincarnation of Sigyn, goddess of loyalty and endurance. But Ava's revelation is only the beginning. Beneath the facade of her mortal existence lies a world teetering on the brink of chaos. For Loki, the deceptive King of Jotunheim and the God of Mischief, seeks to unravel the threads of fate and seize dominion over the mortal realm. And Ava, unwittingly bound to him by threads of destiny, stands at the precipice of a choice that will shape the fate of humanity. As Ava's beautiful nightmare unfolds, she must confront the darkness within and embrace the echoes of her immortal legacy. For in the clash between gods and mortals, the lines between ally and enemy blur, and the fate of existence hangs in the balance. *Prepare to embark on a journey where past and present collide-a tale of love, betrayal, and magic.

[BOOK THREE] "Falling in love was never a plan, Minnie." I sighed, fingers reaching up to rub my temples as I blinked my very translucent eyelids. "I was never courting death. No pun intended. And now I'm quite literally a few thousand feet underground, possibly dead, and in love with an eon-old spirit. What else could happen?" *** She had honest to god tried so hard as to stay out of harm's way. However, Addison's new found friendship with Death himself was enough to force her to make the worst decision of her life: Jump in front of a poisonous dart that could kill off an immortal god-like being just so she could protect the cynical spirit she had fallen in love with. Oh, and was it mentioned that the spirit was actually Death himself and had been trying to kill her off just a year ago? Yeah, that happened. Now stuck in the underworld of hell itself, Addison needs to find her way back to the land of the living. With only one of her best friends, Minnie Hoover, as a companion through this deadly (not so much for her since she's already stone cold dead) mission, as well as the said spirit by her side, the blonde stunner has five days to find her way back to life before she would be shipped off into the reincarnation system. And thus losing herself, and her friends, forever. How hard could it be? After all, Addison didn't need to worry about being stabbed in the back again (in every sense of the word). Perhaps all it takes is the one thing she tried to avoid from the beginning. A kiss from Death himself. ***** Highest Rank Fantasy: #7

[BOOK TWO] "Anniversaries to some are like counting the years spent doing something great, years spent together, or years spent alive." I started slowly, voice dropping to a drawl as I peeked cautiously out of my bedroom blinds, scanning the road to see if there was a cloaked figure watching my every movement. "I view anniversaries as counting down the days till death finds me." *** After the events of her wonderfully packed 21st birthday, Addison was ready to retire back into her home and never again see the light of day. It wasn't a totally bad idea. After all, her family's generations-old riches was enough to tide her over until the day her past finally catches on, and until that day finally arrives, she had no intention to step out of her front door. And to think the last time she did, she ended up in the game of cat and mouse with a cynical hooded spirit that wanted her dead and her soul in a glass bottle for his own little sadistic collection. Silence had followed the whole year after the disastrous party. For nearly 365 days, Addison had no trouble with unwanted evil celestial beings lurking around her house in an attempt to take her soul away with a world-stopping kiss. However, the silence was too often, and the world had become too quiet. Reason being? Apparently, Death's new move was to kidnap her best friend Minnie Hoover in an attempt to bait her down to hell itself. Life became much quieter without one-third of her little clique. And so Addison ventured away from the safety of her home, in search of her best friend. After all, silence creeps the heart just as death does, and the world was now deadly silent. ***** Highest Rank Fantasy: #9 Highest Rank Teen Fiction: #77
