FIVE DAYS IN PARIS (CINCO DIAS EN PARÍS) es una novela de romance publicada a finales del siglo XX por Danielle Steel. Olivia Thatcher es la esposa de un famoso senador. solía estar enamorado de él pero ya no lo conoce. Peter Haskell es el presidente de un imperio farmacéutico. Accidentalmente, ambos se conocen una noche en la ciudad de París. Pasan el rato en un café vintage provocando un ambiente psicológico de ilusión y de romance. Su estructura lineal le agrega coherencia a esta novela, cerrando con su final. Todos los componentes que posee un cuento se encuentran incluidos, tomándolos en cuenta con un narrador extradiegético. Esta novela romántica suele ser descriptiva y utiliza bastantes diálogos. Algunas preguntas están escritas dirigidas hacia el lector después de sucesos de sucesos ocurridos en el libro aunque está escrita de una manera muy sencilla. En cierta ocasión la novela pudo ser repetitiva. No existe suspenso ni acción. El libro hace explorar diversos tipos de situaciones: ¿Qué pasa cuando te casas con poder o dinero?¿qué tanto podemos comprometernos sin defraudar nuestra identidad o ideología? A simple vista aparentan ser preguntan no muy complejas de responder pero la vida no solo es blanco y negro. Siendo así existen varias sombras de gris entre ello que faltan por descubrirse. Yo recomiendo esta novela a todos aquellos lectores de novelas románticas ya que, en general, FIVE DAYS IN PARIS es un libro en el que se tiene la sensación de tu presencia dentro de esta historia de amor.
