Izumo, a high school student obsessed with guns and airsoft, dreams of joining the military. After a day of classes, he stumbles upon a strange, glowing cube in the street: an Azur Lane Mind Cube. That same night, the cube triggers a process that destroys his human body and drags his consciousness across dimensions. He awakens as the Izumo ship itself, an Ikazuchi-class aircraft carrier in the human fleet, in a war-torn universe. Earth has fallen to the Invid after suffering three consecutive wars against superior alien races. Now humanity survives on lunar and Martian bases, fighting a seemingly lost war. As the only sentient ship in the entire fleet, Izumo must confront a brutal reality far removed from the glorious military fantasies of his past life. He participates in a desperate offensive against the Reflection Point on Earth, where he witnesses the enemy's overwhelming numerical and tactical superiority. He sees allied ships destroyed, entire crews killed in seconds, and the horror of war firsthand. Traumatized, Izumo decides to bury his emotions to avoid going insane. Each reconnaissance mission becomes a bloodbath from which only he returns, battered but alive, burdened by guilt and the weight of the lives lost under his command. What began as a dream of heroism transforms into a harsh lesson about the true meaning of the uniform, sacrifice, and utter loneliness. Disclaimer: Azur Lane and Robotech are not my property.

Off the coast of Germany, three kansen sisters sailed in the darkness of the night. All three of them struck with curiosity. Following the trail of anomalous signals, they encountered something - unusual. Something that was not supposed to be there. Something seemingly defying all logic. Among the three sisters, one of them was especially affected by the sheer wonder the anomaly seemed to emanate. Anti-Aircraft frigate FGS Hessen, the third and final ship of the Sachsen-class, is among the most advanced kansen the German Navy has to offer. And yet, her curiosity proved to be her mistake. Accidentally getting too close for comfort to the anomaly, she was subsequently pulled in - resulting in her getting separated from her sisters and stranded in a seemingly familiar, but still foreign world - the world of Azur Lane. Stranded in a world where the concepts of modern naval warfare have been turned upside down, will she adapt by utilizing her technological advantage to the fullest and perhaps find a way home - Or will she sink to the bottom of the ocean, forever abandoned in a world not her own? Disclaimer: This story has been written as a first-timer in the huge domain that is story writing. As such, expect amateur/beginner-typical mistakes in plot and writing, as I still have much to learn/perfect. Update: Greetings! If you read this, it means the story has been completed. In the future, if I have the time, I will use what I have learned to rewrite this story in order to eliminate grammar mistakes, correct (but not completely change) a few plot elements, and completely annihilate all parts where 'script format' is used. It will just be a general cleanup of my writing. Azur Lane belongs to Manjuu.

"Not one step back!" -Admiral of the Fleet Bernard York Lancaster, 2102 Humanity has endured countless calamities in the 21st century, and the transition was only more chaotic. The invasion of the alien species commonly known as "Sirens" [Sirena Alienus] has ushered in a new age; an age of great sacrifice and equally grand valor. While the invasion of the Sirens has united the world in a shared goal ― one of banishing these aliens who do not belong ― and prevented the unfurling of the Third world war, it destroyed countless cities, destroyed international communication, and killed and starved millions. The Sovereign-class of fast battleships were designed as flagships from the beginning. The design and construction of the lead ship of the class ― UNS Sovereign ― was finished incredibly fast; laid down on the 3rd of March 2099 and commissioned 1st of November 2100. After three years of dutiful service and countless battles, the Sovereign finally met its match and was left with only one option ― self-destruction. And with only a mere press of a button, the pride of humanity and the Human-Siren war were ended ― Sirens forced to retreat to wherever they came from and the Sovereign erased from the surface of the Earth, only remembered through models, photos, and fond memories. But its service has not come to an end, merely continued... ...in a familiar, yet distant world. How will he influence the fate of this unknown world? How will the organization known as Azur Lane react? What will he find? ― Friends? Enemies? Comrades? Or perhaps, something more... A mysterious, ancient-looking gate appeared in Washington, D.C., sometime in the 21st century. From the gate poured out monsters, knights from medieval Europe, and other fantasy-like beings, and they began a systematic slaughter of the citizens of the U.S. capital, laying siege to the White House. For the first time since the War of 1812, the streets of the United States became a battlefield. Due to their unrestrained arrogance, the Empire of Sadera immediately sought to claim the lands on the other side of the gate. However, they would soon realize just how inferior their own military truly was. Once the U.S. military mobilized, they attacked the invaders with their advanced technology, forcing only a thousand of them to retreat while killing or capturing the rest. This unprovoked attack on U.S. soil, not seen since September 11th, 2001, would be known as the "Washington Incident." In retaliation, the U.S. government sends the United States Marine Corps to the alternate world beyond the gate, thus beginning the American-Saderan War. We will follow certain groups of people from both the nations of Earth and the kingdoms of Falmart to set the stage for the bloodiest conflict Falmart has ever seen.
