The Empire of Cathay teeters on the brink of rebellion, and only the lost magic of Dragon Songs can prevent the realm from descending into chaos. Blessed with an unrivaled voice, Kaiya dreams of a time when music could summon typhoons and rout armies. Maybe then, the imperial court would see the awkward, gangly princess as more than a singing fool. When members of the emperor's elite spy clan uncover a brewing rebellion, the court hopes to appease the ringleader by offering Kaiya as a bride. Obediently wedding the depraved rebel leader means giving up her music. Confronting him with the growing power of her voice could kill her. THIS IS THE 3rd PERSON VERSION. "They become like us, but beautiful. Dangerously beautiful. Oh yes. And they can make the sky do their bidding. They cast spells with their music that can take away your willpower. And their hair . . . is the color of blood." *** There's a legend in the Amazon that tells of attractive and dangerous shapeshifters known as Encantados. When Sofia Aguilar meets one in the flesh, her life is turned completely upside down. Can she reunite a legendary shapeshifter with his past without losing touch with her own reality? *** "We call them . . . Encantado." The word was familiar, yet it tickled Sofi's inner ear in a way that only foreign sounds could. It felt like a name from another world. Somewhere far and lost. Somewhere that should have never been or perhaps might never be. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Stunning cover done by the exceptionally talented @LigiaNunes Copyright © 2015 by Coco Nichole

SAMPLE OF PUBLISHED BOOK THAT WAS FIRST WRITTEN ON WATTPAD. Fletcher was nothing more than a humble blacksmith's apprentice, when a chance encounter leads to the discovery that he has the ability to summon demons from another world. Chased from his village for a crime he did not commit, he must travel with his demon to the Vocans Academy, where the gifted are trained in the art of summoning. The academy will put Fletcher through a gauntlet of gruelling lessons, training him as a battlemage to fight in the Hominum Empire's war against the savage orcs. Rubbing shoulders with the children of the most powerful nobles in the land, Fletcher must tread carefully. The power hungry Forsyth twins lurk in the shadows, plotting to further their family's interests. Then there is Sylva, an elf who will do anything she can to forge an alliance between her people and Hominum, even if it means betraying her friends. Othello is the first ever dwarf at the academy, and his people have long been oppressed by Hominum's rulers, which provokes tension amongst those he studies alongside. Fletcher will find himself caught in the middle of powerful forces, with nothing but his demon Ignatius to help him. As the pieces on the board manoeuvre for supremacy, Fletcher must decide where his loyalties lie. The fate of an empire is in his hands ... Its powers still echo amongst men, but run fiercer yet in the blood of kings and queens. And one of them will stop at nothing before Isla is dead. A betrayal lures her out of refuge and into her journey home, where she must unmask her enemies before they unmask her. The theurgy that she has had to keep hidden for many years can be her greatest ally or her most lethal foil. Only her wits can guide her through the dangerous politics of the Surikh court. But amidst the plots and schemes bubbling around her, she uncovers something far more sinister than the identity of her enemies. Thank you to everyone who loved and read this story, but I'm leaving Wattpad as a writer for good. This story won't continue to be written, but feel free to enjoy what I had written of it. One day I plan to remake this story and others into a comic or a graphic novel, and when that happens I'll let you all know here. <3 ==== When Esme is a child, her mother--the queen of Flucht--dies mysteriously on the beach. The death is immediately blamed on sea serpents, ocean-dwelling cousins of dragons that are infamous for being violently unpredictable and attacking coastal cities. Esme takes to sleeping around as she gets older, hoping to fill the hole in her heart, but only ends up tearing it more. When she finds a serpent hatchling washed up on the beach and can't bring herself to kill it, Esme decides to raise it as an ally of Diella instead of an enemy. With the serpent she raises and a certain foreign prince with an odd choice in weaponry, she finds herself less empty than before. But as she learns more about the true nature of the sea serpents, old matters don't make as much sense as they used to, and Esme starts asking questions nobody else dared to. Why would a serpent attack a human unprovoked? Was her mother's death on the beach truly an accident, or was it murder? And what if she's next? ----- cover by @CarKann
