After a discussion with his best friend Kukai Ikuto tried to show that there isn't something like fate or a plan that life has for us. Out of the blue he asked a girl who was a complete stranger to him, but seemed to be to his liking to date him. He wanted to show that you need to know a person to go out with them. Surprisingly the girl agreed with a cheerful look on her face. Was the small pinkette he asked just completely insane? or was it really fate that Ikuto asked her of all girls? Amu had just been dumped by Tadase 3 days before going to an annual dinner at her parents house where all her family will be. Ikuto is in desperate need of money to get Easter off his back. Unable to take to constant teasing that Amu knows she'll get if she shows up to the dinner with a promised boyfriend that she doesn't have, she and Ikuto make a deal. She'll give him the money he needs if he pretends to be her boyfriend. Will this work?!
