Johanna Mason is a seventeen year old girl who is reaped for her District on the 68th annual Hunger Games. She is forced to go to the arena, which she fights to the death in. From District 7- lumber- and her special weapon is throwing axes. Competing for her own life in the harsh pine forest, Johanna is fighting with the last breath in her body, determined to make it back home, but to whom?

When the laws of the Hunger Games were laid out, they dictated that every twenty-five years the anniversary would be marked by a Quarter Quell. It would call for a glorified version of the Games to make the fresh the memory of those killed by the districts' rebellion. Now we honor our fourth Quarter Quell. On the one hundredth anniversary, as a reminder to the rebels that the Dark Days only served to tear their families apart, each district will be required to send two sets of siblings. The new government that came with the rebellion Katniss started has been overthrown. President Snow's granddaughter is ruling Panem now, and she has proven to be more ruthless than he ever was. Katniss and Peeta were publicly executed after the Capitol took over again, and District 13 was completely obliterated. Since then, the Hunger Games have been harsher than ever. The seventy fourth annual Hunger Games are finished, Peeta and Katniss just got back from the tour, happy to be away from it all. But when Katniss begs Peeta to stay with her just one more night, something will happen that will change their lives forever. And it's not the quarter quell. What if, it hadn't just been a trick? What if Katniss had really gotten pregnant? This is what I believe would have happened.
