((A Wattpad featured story)) *COMPLETED* #1 in Fantasy (Book #1 in the DAWN series) #greekmythology The Red Dawn has come. Death is upon us... Or rather upon small-town girl, Aurora Venerelli and when we say 'upon', we mean right on top of her. This young beautie's life is turned upside down- or right side up- when a very perverted and equally cocky Thanatos, the Greek god of death, shows up at her door. Aurora is thrown into a world of myth and legend and she'll have to try and discover her true self, while being haunted by her ancestor Hecate- the goddess of witchcraft- and of course, trying not to get herself killed by the enigma that has acquired a certain odd obsession towards her- Death himself. And let's be realistic here... Doesn't Death always get what he wants? #darkromance #OFTW Covers Done by @I3sbianaf

(Bfflad- Best friends for life and death) Dear Reader, Let's start at the beginning shall we? I died. Oh no, not one of these stories again where someone angelic and heroic saves the damsel in distress. If only I was that lucky. My heart stopped beating. My lungs stopped working, my soul began to lift away... And then I was saved by a beautiful man with a kind heart and sparkles sprinkled around his head in a golden halo. A cunning, dazzling smile etched his angled features and his hair lay perfectly on his head like...black, sinful layers of pure cynical distrusting evil. Evil that was just waiting to onset a innocent girl as myself and allow her a short amount of time of happiness, and then finish her off when she became older. I'll give you a hint. The beginning of that description was slightly exaggerated. The Angel of Death. One of the only creatures known that was capable of settling the boundaries of heaven on earth. The only creature capable of making one of the Devil's darkest deals to my loving mother; a second chance for her daughter. This comes with consequences of course. Everything you know about Death is wrong. Death is not natural, Death is not normal, Death is not doleful, and Death is far from mercenary. Death blends into the shadows like coal against the most atramentous sky. Death walks the earth with his cursed, monstrous and exotic features, his enticing voice and betraying alluring eyes. Death deceives, scratches, and plays with your mind, until you slowly and painfully loose your grip on reality. He'll make you believe he's a different person, that there's a sliver hope for him. Hope for you. Death is close. [BOOK THREE] "Falling in love was never a plan, Minnie." I sighed, fingers reaching up to rub my temples as I blinked my very translucent eyelids. "I was never courting death. No pun intended. And now I'm quite literally a few thousand feet underground, possibly dead, and in love with an eon-old spirit. What else could happen?" *** She had honest to god tried so hard as to stay out of harm's way. However, Addison's new found friendship with Death himself was enough to force her to make the worst decision of her life: Jump in front of a poisonous dart that could kill off an immortal god-like being just so she could protect the cynical spirit she had fallen in love with. Oh, and was it mentioned that the spirit was actually Death himself and had been trying to kill her off just a year ago? Yeah, that happened. Now stuck in the underworld of hell itself, Addison needs to find her way back to the land of the living. With only one of her best friends, Minnie Hoover, as a companion through this deadly (not so much for her since she's already stone cold dead) mission, as well as the said spirit by her side, the blonde stunner has five days to find her way back to life before she would be shipped off into the reincarnation system. And thus losing herself, and her friends, forever. How hard could it be? After all, Addison didn't need to worry about being stabbed in the back again (in every sense of the word). Perhaps all it takes is the one thing she tried to avoid from the beginning. A kiss from Death himself. ***** Highest Rank Fantasy: #7

[BOOK TWO] "Anniversaries to some are like counting the years spent doing something great, years spent together, or years spent alive." I started slowly, voice dropping to a drawl as I peeked cautiously out of my bedroom blinds, scanning the road to see if there was a cloaked figure watching my every movement. "I view anniversaries as counting down the days till death finds me." *** After the events of her wonderfully packed 21st birthday, Addison was ready to retire back into her home and never again see the light of day. It wasn't a totally bad idea. After all, her family's generations-old riches was enough to tide her over until the day her past finally catches on, and until that day finally arrives, she had no intention to step out of her front door. And to think the last time she did, she ended up in the game of cat and mouse with a cynical hooded spirit that wanted her dead and her soul in a glass bottle for his own little sadistic collection. Silence had followed the whole year after the disastrous party. For nearly 365 days, Addison had no trouble with unwanted evil celestial beings lurking around her house in an attempt to take her soul away with a world-stopping kiss. However, the silence was too often, and the world had become too quiet. Reason being? Apparently, Death's new move was to kidnap her best friend Minnie Hoover in an attempt to bait her down to hell itself. Life became much quieter without one-third of her little clique. And so Addison ventured away from the safety of her home, in search of her best friend. After all, silence creeps the heart just as death does, and the world was now deadly silent. ***** Highest Rank Fantasy: #9 Highest Rank Teen Fiction: #77

*mature for lang and possible (probable) 'adult' content heh.* I was about to scream for help when a strange sort of smoke seeped from druggies mouth and entwined itself around tall and dark's hand, running up his arm and illuminating the sharp planes of his face, feeding into his slightly parted lips. I gasped, stumbling back from the scene. His eyes shot up to me, their silvery glow locking me in place as our gazes caught. The druggies body feel between us and the man's eyes seemed to illuminate further before everything was plunged into darkness I was petrified, paralyzed in place, a cool indifferent voice broke the silence. a whisper dangerously close to my ear, "sometimes they are unwanted by heaven or hell. Sometimes they have no where to go, no purpose but to feed those who need it." A scream tore from my throat as I felt a cool hand grasp my wrist and my heart beat rapidly dropping, warm breath against my ear. I was dying. Actually dying. ~Jinx Clemens was not the best daughter, not the best sister, and not the best student. Dear Reader, It hadn't hit me right away, many things, but especially the fact that I was about to turn twenty years old. It was as if it was just yesterday that I was learning how to make a peanut butter sandwiches, tie my shoes, and draw endlessly with fat crayons--which I thoroughly believed to be a masterpiece. It had to be yesterday, when I was befriending any new person that I met with a dazzling smile. No, those were the years that I was numb--masked from the world and blissfully unaware of the dangers and lingering dark edges of the Chicago city. Life moves fast; terrifyingly fast for some, especially those who try and anchor down each and every day of their existence. For others, it moves drearily slow. I use to be numb, I use to be unaware of the shadows deep within the corners of the earth, the watchful figures around me. I use to draw scribbles, struggle to tie my shoes, and fail at doing the simple things, like tying shoes. I use to make friends with anyone I met and kept that friendship over a promise. I use to do a lot of things, actually. But that was when life was a whole lot simpler, safer, and perfect. That was before I knew about Death. That was before he became my frenemy.
