Dead is dead. Or at least that's the way it's supposed to be. You log a certain number of hours and get put on an express train to Heaven or Hell depending on which way your scales tipped. To Lizbeth Oswald, the idea of being dead wasn't that troubling. After she bit it there was nothing she could do either way. You do your best and then that's it. Dead is dead. She sure as hell never expected to be the punchline of some giant cosmic joke. Being born into the life of a hunter taught you to manage your expectations. Flea-infested motels, few if any friends, your dad leaves you with his curmudgeony old hunting buddy for 'a few days' and never shows up again-you learn to take life in stride. You learn to handle yourself. Which was why being killed off at 22 after one tango with a pissy demon dressed up as her roommate was so damn embarrassing. Dead was dead, right? Thems were the rules. Waking up in a pine box three years later had a way of making Lizbeth rethink that definition. Not that Lizbeth could dwell on it that long, seeing as there's an Apocalypse going on and apparently she has a job to do. Oh, and there's some blonde idiot who's apparently in the exact same boat as she is. Disclaimer: I do not own Supernatural. Any similarity in content or dialogue originated with the show. HUGE THANK YOU! The lovely cover to this is actually a magnificent poster made for me by one @januarylily aka missjanuarylily.tumblr.com. She is a magnificent human being who is far too generous for this world and humanity should look to her as an example as we try to improve the world.

In her opinion, Izzy McCallum didn't belong in community service. Since when did doing the right thing become a crime? Probably when it involved her nicking meds from a pharmacy. No, not that type of meds. The type of medication people--her brother--needed for health, vitality, and all that crap. But what the hell ever happened to extenuating circumstances? Well none of that mattered now, did it? The was stuck doing 200 hours of community service with six other delinquents. She was just there to log her hours and get the hell out of there. But throw in a freak storm, a couple of superpowers, and a dead probation worker, and things start to get complicated. Community service just got interesting, and it fucking sucked. Mostly because of the whole constantly running for your life thing. And the Nathan Young thing. Would that dickhead ever just shut up? Disclaimer: I don't own Misfits. Any similarity in content or dialogue originated with the show.

High school. It's difficult enough to navigate on its own. Especially when you were quick-witted, bitterly sarcastic, and emotionally constipated with a bad case of verbal diarrhea. And yes she was aware of the inherent contradiction contained within that phrase. When Charlie Oswin moved to Beacon Hills to live with her aunt after the death of her father, she thought the worst she'd have to deal with was gossip, term papers, and her new best friend and across-the-street neighbor Lydia Martin lipsticking her to death in the never-ending quest to make Charlie socially acceptable. Actually Lydia had described it more as avoiding becoming a 'facepalm-inducing embarrassment'. But for a tiny town that was 90% forest with only one functional movie theater, there sure seemed to be a lot of people dying. There was something going on in Beacon Hills--something off. Enter one Stiles Stilinski. He was a twitchy, sarcastic weirdo, and she definitely appreciated that in a person. He and his friend Scott McCall also happened to be at the center of every strange thing that was going on in this weird-ass town. It was one giant mystery. And she was going to figure out what it was. She just never expected to stop being scary and defensive long enough to start developing actual human feelings along the way. Eventual Stiles/OC Disclaimer: I don't own Teen Wolf. Shocking, right? But I don't. All I own is Charlie Oswin and my other OCs. There will also be a bunch of other fandom references in the story from shows like Supernatural, Parks & Rec, Misfits (the bear vs shark debate!), and Joss Whedon stuff because I love my fandoms dearly! The cover was made for me by the lovely and amazing missjanuarylily of tumblr!!!!

"Kinda funny, isn't it? The liar seeking the truth." Rachel Hale lies a lot. She makes promises, and then breaks them. It's something people have come to expect from her. So when she promised her boyfriend that she would never return to Beacon Hills after it nearly killed her on multiple occasions, naturally, he didn't believe her. Rightfully so, seeing as how less than a year later, she was packing her suitcase. It was only supposed to be to visit Scott and Stiles, and write her name in the library as her brother and sister had done years ago- at least, that's what everyone thought. All Rachel ever wanted to know was what she was. Now that she knows, all she wants is to find the people who did it. The Dread Doctors turned her into a monster. Rachel tried to live with it. She really, really tried. She tried to join her sister's pack and be like other born wolves. She tried to create her own pack. She tried to fit into society and go about her life as an ordinary human. But she wasn't ordinary, and she never would be. She didn't belong. She couldn't shift into a wolf, she couldn't make any true supernaturals follow her and she definitely couldn't stop her silver eyes from making an appearance at the most inopportune times. The Dread Doctors ruined her life, and now, they're going to fix it. [5A & 5B - book 3 in the Rachel Hale series] © 2018 // Aly aka @insatiabIe

❝What's so great about sanity? I don't see you having any fun.❞ When asked to define insanity, a great majority of the Eichen House staff would direct the questioner to a petite brunette by the name of Lita Mitchell. In a building comprised of clinically insane people, too dangerous to roam freely within society, the self-proclaimed lost cause was highlighted like no other. A cold blooded killer like many others, her abnormality came in the form of her mind; her incapability to feel guilt of any form. Logically- she would be locked up in the closed unit, safe & sound in her own complimentary straight jacket. But within the illogical & frequently violent walls of Eichen House, everyone knew that wasn't about to happen any time soon. Crazy had yet to be proven contagious, therefore they saw no reason to isolate her- or prevent her from befriending their newest resident. An insomniac with terrifying hallucinations, he seemed innocent enough; surely no harm could result from allowing him to befriend the notorious Lita Mitchell. Then again, they hadn't met the demon in his head. [season 3B] © 2015 // Aly aka @insatiabIe

Remaining both physically & mentally intact within the confines of Beacon Hills wasn't always a struggle for Rachel Hale. There was a time when the town had been her home, a place she'd never so much as consider leaving for more than a short vacation. A time when she had a family, an actual home where she could feel safe at all times & a best friend she tell anything to. For awhile, Rachel was starting to believe she could have that again. Her time in London had come to an end as the beginning of junior year neared, and for a whole week, Rachel had believed that maybe, just maybe, she'd be able to continue on with the normalcy she'd had for the past two months. Beacon Hills had supposedly been the epitome of boring for the entire duration of her absence, and Rachel had truly believed it would remain so in her presence. Her brother had moved into a new loft, she was starting junior year with her best friends & no one was trying to kill them- it was everything she could ask for. But as the story goes, all good things must come to an end; especially when Rachel's friends & family are no longer the scariest things lurking in the shadows. New threats are in Beacon Hills & this time, they're a lot more sinister. An alpha pack wants Derek & they're willing to paint the town in the blood of everyone he cares about in order to get him; all while a dark druid is running about, adding to the body count with its ritualistic sacrifices. Innocent people are dying, time is running out & everyone seems to think Rachel holds the key to stopping it- unfortunately, they're forgetting a crucial piece of information. Reflectors are just as breakable as their object counterparts. [3A & 3B - Unspoken sequel] © 2016 // Aly aka @insatiabIe

❝Contrary to the popular belief, there's a very thin & fragile line between saying too much, and saying too little. More often than not, you'll find yourself unable to balance on that line & tipping to one side or the other, before inevitable falling. Whether or not there will be something there to catch you, that depends on how much was left unspoken.❞ There are things in life that we swear we'll never do. Some people pledge never to lie, others promise never to tell a secret; but of course, with a little time & persuasion, doing the action they vowed never to do is inevitable. Nearly everyone has made promises with a genuine sincerity in their hearts, only to later go & smash their promise to fragments with a sledgehammer- it's just what people do. No matter how hard they try & resist, if the thought remains bubbling in their mind for long enough, it's bound to boil over eventually Rachel Hale wanted to stay true to her promise. She swore she'd never go back to Beacon Hills after a fire killed nearly all of her family, yet when one of her two surviving siblings was brutally murdered within the confines of the town, she couldn't help herself; not after the arsonist who burned her life to the ground walked free. Alongside her older brother, Rachel went back to the damned town, & almost instantly fell head over heels into chaos- and took a whole lot of people with her. Before she even knew what hit her, she was fighting not only for her own life, but for the innocent people who didn't belong in a supernatural world like hers; innocent people she began to care more about than she was willing to admit. Unfortunately, for someone like Rachel who knows just how quickly everything she loves can be destroyed in a town like Beacon Hills, caring may turn out to be her biggest mistake.
