On Valentine's day of their last year as junior high students, Akabane Karma stated that he was going to stay in Kunugigaoka simply to enjoy battling against Asano Gakushuu. And on day 1 of their first year as high school students, Asano Gakushuu already knew that he wasn't going to have a peaceful time in his classes...
Gakushuu is about to go home when karma suddenly shows up and bothers him. They get into a big argument and don't notice that its night time and it has started storming until karma is nearly struck by lightning. They are forced to stay together in the main building until the storm stops in the morning.
