Covalent Bond is the sharing of electrons between two non- metal atom, an element that lacks characteristics of a metal, with identical or relatively close electronegativity values. It causes the overlapping of electron orbitals for their electrons tend to spend more time in between two nuclei instead of just their own nucleus. The strong attraction of the electron, which is negatively charged, to the nuclei, which is positively charged, makes the bond hold the atoms together despite the absence of a cation and an anion. Can love makes you hold on to something fitful?

Ionic bond is formed between two ions by the transfer of electron. It is done through a metal, with low ionization energy, which tends to lose electron for a non- metal, with high ionization energy, to gain electron in order for the both of them to be stable.
