What if Branch and Poppy didn't have a moment like they did in the movie and just became best friends, What if Poppy still managed to be friends with Bridget and bring happiness to the Burgens, What if Creek didn't turn out to be the bad guy. This story will be the effect of those "what if's", as well as the journey of Branch and Poppy as they will go through and will open up to each other of having been through Not-so-Troll-like-things. Although Branch still doesn't like the company of anyone else, he is willing to help Poppy with her queenly duties after certain events. Keep in mind, Poppy was known as the happiest Troll in Troll village. Then she became queen, and it changed her more than anything. As the story develops, a new challenge comes Poppy's way, and it will finally prove if Poppy is fit to be queen or Branch's, lover.
