It is 1985, in Hawkins, Indiana. Jane Ives, better known as Eleven, has nearly a year left to live a free childhood. She is living with her guardian, Jim Hopper, and spending time with Mike Wheeler every chance she gets. One thing that she struggles with is her ego, which she has trouble controlling, and she can release her powers from no where, hurting someone. Will Byers on the other hand has had some issues as well. Though the shadow monster is out if him, he still feels a type of power inside of him. He finds out it is true, when he cannot only see what is happening in the Upside-Down, he also has another, dangerous power. But Eleven and Will will discover there are more people like them, each with different, incredible powers. There are some who accept and live in the world, while there are others who wish to control it, and make people fear them. Eleven and Will must choose a side, to choose where to place their powers.

The demogorgon was pressed upon the chalkboard, a blue-ish light glowing through its chest just as Eleven cried, "Goodbye, Mike." A mighty roar escaped her being and the demogorgon disintegrated into thin air. She collapsed onto the floor, blood everywhere. How will Lucas, Dustin and of course Mike react and live out their lives with the girl dubbed the "weirdo?"

***Keep in mind that this fanfic was written before season 2 was out*** Eleven has been missing for a year. Lucas, Dustin and Will thinks El is dead, but Mike knows El won't break a promise. One day the boys decide to take a walk in the woods, when they see Chief Hopper doing some suspicious things. After chapter 70, is "extra" scenes from the fanfic.
