Three friends. Two love stories. One convention. In this geeky romance, three BFFs go to SupaCon in search of fandom, and end up finding love. Charlie likes to stand out. Fresh from a public break-up with co-star Jason Ryan, SupaCon is her chance to prove to the fandom that she doesn't belong in anybody's shadow. But with her fans refusing to abandon the Charlie/Jason 'Chase' ship, opening her heart to someone new won't be easy. Taylor likes to blend in. Her SupaCon dream is simple: meet her idol, Skyler Atkins, a.k.a Queen Firestone. Entering the Queen Firestone SupaFan Contest seems like a no brainer - fangirling is her thing, she's even got the cosplay to prove it. But paralyzing anxiety is also her thing, and it's held her back her whole life. From the bestselling author of THE EVA SERIES and filled with geekiness, cosplay and fandom, QUEENS OF GEEK is a story about friendship, self-discovery and finding the courage to love with all your heart. (Formerly What Happens At SupaCon). COMING TO BOOKSTORES IN 2017 FROM SWOON READS/MACMILLAN PUBLISHING!

This is my YA novel from Macmillan. It's a companion novel to The Lexie Project, which is being written here on Wattpad. Something Real is out now anywhere books are sold. I put the first chapter up here and you can read more on my website (www.heatherdemetrios.com). More about the novel: There’s nothing real about reality TV. Seventeen-year-old Bonnie™ Baker has grown up on TV - she and her twelve siblings are the stars of one-time hit reality show, Baker’s Dozen. Since the show’s cancellation, Bonnie™ has tried ti live a normal life, under the radar and out of the spotlight. But it’s about to fall apart…because Baker’s Dozen is going back on the air. Bonnie™’s mom and the show’s producers won’t let her quit and soon the life that she has so carefully built for herself with real friends (and maybe even a real boyfriend), is in danger of being destroyed by the show. Bonnie™ needs to do something drastic if her life is every going to be her own - even if it means being more exposed than ever before.

Lexie Baker is ready for her close up and nobody's gonna get in her freaking way. Nearly a year after graduating high school and taking a hiatus from her family's reality TV show, "Baker's Dozen," Lexie is in Los Angeles, on a mission to take Hollywood by storm. From red carpet premiers to helping her YouTube star roommate film weird videos, Lex fits right in with the droves of girls just as hungry as she is for some screen time. When Jax Wilson, a young, hot producer, offers to launch The Lexie Project, a reality show that will chronicle Lex's adventures trying to make it as an actress in LA, she jumps at the chance. It isn't an Oscar-winning role, but it's a start. Then she meets Liam, a film student who brings books to parties and is one of her twin brother's closest friends. When it becomes clear that her brother, Benny, has a serious drinking problem that's causing his life to spiral out of control, Lexie relies on Liam to help protect her brother from the media...and himself. But spending time with Liam soon makes Lexie question if the life of a starlet is really what she wants. And if it is, how far will she go to get it? The City of Angels soon becomes Hell on Earth and Lexie realizes that everyone-even Liam-has something they're hiding. Soon, Lexie decides she needs to find a new role to play-not the one she was cast in at birth. Perfect for fans of Hank Green's The Lizzie Diaries, Lexie's novelized memoir is a multimedia, multiplatform storytelling experience told in real time that reaches readers through social media. Weekly chapter installments on Wattpad are free and daily updates on Lexie's social media accounts will give readers the chance to interact directly with Lexie and have opportunities to influence the course of the story.

Welcome! I write in all different genres and for all different ages. Some, like this book, are a bit more dramatic. Others are completely silly. I've been told I should stick with one age range or one genre so I can brand myself and market to niche markets. But there are so many stories I want to tell! And I don't think of myself as a brand. I think of myself as a storyteller. That's why I'm excited to join Wattpad. The creativity I've discovered just in the past few days is amazing! Always, Jessie has already been published. I can only share part of this book due to publisher guidelines, but I'll be posting once or twice a week until then. Description: Jessie is an ambitious but lonely girl struggling with an eating disorder and exercise addiction. After a life-threatening incident sends her to the hospital, Jessie agrees to enter a residential treatment facility, where she meets a diverse group of young women also on the journey to recovery. Reviewers have called this inspirational novel "amazingly honest and poignant" and "an eye-opener for how food disorders can overtake young people." Personal Note: Many books on eating disorders focus on the illness and a heroine who makes a magical recovery in the last few pages. When I struggled with bulimia and exercise addiction, I hated those types of books. I wanted to write a novel that more accurately reflected the journey of recovery people go through. I didn't just magically get better one day. I went into treatment and worked hard on recovery. Jessie is not me, but she does reflect my experiences and the experiences of the friends I met as I got better. If you're a reader struggling with food or weight issues, I've compiled a list of resources where you can find help. Many allow you to remain anonymous! http://www.megancassidyauthor.com/eating-disorder-help.html Copyright Information: No part of this book may be reproduced or transmitted in any form or by any means.
