Sir Guy is chasing the Nightwatchman, when he gets seriously injured. This story takes places just after the episode "Brother in Arms", but before "Tattoo, what tatto?" Guy and Marian are betrothed, but nobody knows of Guy's attempt to kill the king, yet. This is the result of a collaboration between Gisborne_sGirl and me. It's the first time we work together and it's a funny and pleasant experience! Neither of us is English mothertongue, so if you spot errors, please feel free to point them to us.

This story belongs to the series "From Ashes", and the plot follows the events of the stories "A World That Will Not Turn to Ash" and "The Nightwatchman". To avoid spoilers, read them first. Fire can turn everything to ash, but sometimes it's possible to rise again from ashes, and, if one can make through the flames without burning, he gets stronger. Guy of Gisborne found it out in the most difficult way, but he survived. Will he be strong enough for the new challenges awaiting for him?

Endgame. The outlaws find themselves up against formidable odds. Nothing new there then... but now they have Guy of Gisborne... and a certain somebody from Guy's past...

This story takes place during the year that passed between the last two chapters of my fanfiction "A World That Will Not Turn to Ash" and it's a spin-off of it. So read it after "A World That Will Not Turn to Ash" to avoid spoilers. Guy took Marian's place as the Nightwatchman: these are his adventures.

Nottingham, 1194 During the battle of Nottingham, Guy of Gisborne is fatally wounded Nottingham, 2016 A group of archaeologists visits the underground tunnels of the town and they make a surprising discovery: a man, seriously wounded, but still alive, is lying in a room that had been closed for centuries.

The Sheriff is dead and Prince John's army destroyed the county of Nottingham. Those who survived must find a way to rebuild their lives.
