Every fibre in my being was straining to be released, desperate to run to Caden and throw myself in front of him if that would be what saved his life. I couldn't lose him. Not now. Not after everything we'd been through. "I lo-." Caden was cut off. I turned to look at him as my eyes widened and witnessed him choking on his own blood. He was stabbed with Micheal's sword straight through the chest.
