This story is the serialisation of a partly biographical fantasy that has been many years in the writing and is a prequel to an evolutionary story based in the distant future. I had planned to publish it as a completed novel, but having discovered Wattpad and the flexibility it offers the writer I have chosen to release it part by part. If you read it and like it please vote and comment, it will encourage me to release new parts more frequently. In the eyes of my friends and family, I have lived what on the face of it, is a fairly, normal life. However, I've experienced a far different life to the one perceived by those who believe they know me. There have been many times when I've found myself for want of a more apt description, transported to what you might call an alternative reality. These transportations have always occurred at significant waypoints in my life and may be circumstantial or traumatic, but one question always remains unanswered. Are these transportation's a figment of an emotionally induced psychosis, or are they really occurring in some alternate reality that interacts with ours? I cherish the later and choose to believe it to be true.

This is derived from an earlier short story 'Rising Damp', written as a tribute to my siblings, a reflection of guilt I felt for not spending enough time in their company as a child. I'd been burdened with more responsibility than a child should be and as consequence sought my escape where and whenever possible. The story primarily focuses on the eldest of my siblings Colin, it interweaves a father and daughter with his past and their present. The two timelines are linked by the spirit of the father's deceased sibling Colin, his daughters 'Invisible Fried' who enables him to release them both from purgatory.

The Lost World is a novel released in 1912 by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle concerning an expedition to a plateau in the Amazon basin of South America where prehistoric animals (dinosaurs and other extinct creatures) still survive. It was originally published serially in the popular Strand Magazine and illustrated by New-Zealand-born artist Harry Rountree during the months of April-November 1912. The character of Professor Challenger was introduced in this book. The novel also describes a war between indigenous people and a vicious tribe of ape-like creatures. Cover by the lovely @FaithMurri.
