"Do you know what to do, Amunet?" A voice as sweet as silk whispered into the young girl's ear. Amunet didn't look over her shoulder, but shifted uncomfortably on her bare feet before nodding her head. A soft hand touched her back and urged her forward. All eyes turned towards the girl dressed in transparent linen with her dark hair tumbling down her back and her violet eyes lined by kohl. Every movement caused the jewels on her wrists and ankles to dangle and shimmer in the light. She raised her head and found the Pharaoh's transfixed stare. His jade eyes narrowed in on hers and the room became still and silent. Amunet bowed and, at the pluck of a harp string, began to dance. --- DISCLAIMER: this story is NOT historically accurate. It does not take place in any real time period and therefore there will be inaccuracies and areas that don't make sense in the context of "ancient Egypt." CONTENT WARNING: though this story is not explicit (sexual or otherwise), it does mention more mature themes that may be troubling to some readers, including but not limited to forced prostitution and miscarriage. cover by @Addietay

Beneath their human masks lay a plethora of creatures both terrifying and captivating. Though united in their shared secrecy from humans, deep rifts exist between regions and races. The powerful Immortals that have held them together for centuries now struggle to retain control. At nineteen, Justice Edwards has done well to avoid her place in that world. Distracting herself with High School, and a string of no-string boyfriends she projects a confident but ditsy facade that has served her well. Until now. Summoned along with seventy-two other immortal children she will assume supernatural abilities and be expected to submit her life to the service of this community for the next eighty years. And, unless her team can best their peers in a competitive round of tournaments, she will also have to submit her heart in an intimate, empathic bond to a man with whom she has no say in choosing. As daughter to one of the oldest people to have ever lived, Justice's powers are expected to be legendary, but that means nothing if her team first implodes in a mire of jealousy, betrayal and forbidden love. How will they ever be able to put their differences aside to save Scotland's supernatural underworld from impending doom?

Broken by life. Repaired by music. Near-penniless fashion blogger Romy Stone reluctantly goes to a folk concert with her best friend, and she doesn't expect the event to even entertain her. Wendell Scott is a brilliant musician--the classical kind. But his teacher thinks it would be good for him to expand his horizons, so he takes her concert tickets with the hope of giving his compositions some life. When he and Romy both catch one half of the ceremonially tossed drumsticks, they think they've gotten a quaint souvenir. But this is The Jaded Bottles' last bow, and Romy and Wendell now each possess one half of a fortune that could leave either sitting pretty. In order to get paid, she has to convince him to part with his drumstick. Which means Romy had better go find Wendell because she has no idea who he is. ~~~ teen fic | coming-of-age | romance | multimedia Completed offline and being reposted. ✨COMPLETED✨ I took a few steps before I stopped to face him again. "Jay?" I said, barely above a whisper. "Hmm?" "I love you. You know that right?" I asked, kind of unsure. "of course. Of course I do." He said, scrunching his eyebrows as if he doesn't understand why I would randomly say that. "I love you very much." I repeated, every bone in my body aching from this pain, this betrayal. What I'm doing, or going to do, is definitely some form of betrayal. But I don't have a choice, right? He needs to understand that I don't have a choice. Or do I? "I do too. But...Why are you saying it like that?" He asked, feeling a little anxious. "Like what?" I replied, praying to dear God he doesn't say something that'll make me cry. "Like you're saying goodbye." 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸 Alexis Pierce is just another high school clumsy story.
