A teenager by the name of Octavia Melody has started Canterlot High with a mission. This mission was to make friends and keep a perfect record, all in attempt to impress her strict and hardworking mother. These plans get a little tough when a punk DJ by the name of Vinyl Scratch interferes with her situation. When her first attempt to make friends with this crazy haired teenager goes horribly wrong, she feels a need to try and continue to fix the relationship. There is no hiding the fact that Vinyl seems to take an interest in her too...but will it all work out? Or is hate their inevitable fate?

In which Vinyl and Octavia are teenage girls at Canterlot High. Both girls are assigned to write a love song for class. One problem. Octavia has never been in love and Vinyl is trying to get Rising Star's attention. The solution? Well be fake girlfriends of course.
