After Parzival took control of the Oasis, and banished IOI, a lot changed. But the Oasis pretty much went back to normal. But who's to say what the future holds for it? Parzival took a lot of influence from Halliday, so he might even leave behind his own easter egg. But even if that does happen, it won't be for a while. It's been two years since Parzival won Halliday's competition and took control of the Oasis. For a while, everything seemed normal. Better even. That was, until an anonymous group of hackers began siege on the virtual world. With the universe crumbling around them, it's up to a ragtag group of players to save the Oasis, before it's too late... Ready Player One, along with all its a characters and locations are owned by Ernest Cline. Except the things that aren't... They're owned by their owners... I only own my original characters... And even then not really, since they're my friends roleplaying characters... Anyway, you get the idea. On another note, this story isn't 100% accurate to the novel.
