Lyan Lance was Earth's most talented martial arts prodigy. Facing off against the two other souls, with great effort and perseverance Lyan barely prevailed and destroyed the two other souls earning him their knowledge, experiences, memories and soul strengths. As the only soul remaining, Lyan successfully took over Lian's body and merged with the sliver of Lian's soul that remained, which similarly allowed him to obtain all of Lian's knowledge, experiences, memories and soul strengths.
