There were lots of sirens on the morning of October the eighth, enough to unsettle the best of us; and definitely enough to bring the town of Santasport to life. Three cars were parked outside: one was a big white ambulance and the other smaller ones were checked police cars. The paramedics had asked our examiner to get all of us out while they dealt with the body. One of them looked at me- his huge eyes appearing to gaze into my very soul. The look in his pupils confirmed what I already knew- Asa Griffith Jericho was gone. His reign of terror over me had finally ended. He was first to die, but not the last. ~*~* ___ Warning: This book contains themes of murder, depression and bullying.
