What would it be like to share dreams with friends? How useful would it be to get work done while dreaming? In Somnus, a virtual reality universe generated from users' dreams, all of that is possible. But Esme Trahan has discovered a way to exploit this fantasy paradise for personal and financial gain: from within Somnus, she has the ability to break into people's minds and absorb their memories. Thus far, she has managed to keep her unethical, voyeuristic, tendencies a secret. But when an individual known only as the Knightmare begins using those same abilities to torture and destroy his victims' minds, including that of her own brother, her desire for vengeance threatens to expose her to the world. Investigating the Knightmare's true identity, Esme is forced to confront his cult of rabid followers, a tenuous political system controlled by social media influencers, and the secret behind her unique abilities.

For students of the Wynter Academy, the virtual world of Cytronica is the perfect after-school hangout. A private realm just for them and the local bots-no teachers, no parents. Tired of its boring ways, five students find a way to tweak its code, altering the world as creatively as they see fit. The realm has limitless potential and possibilities; letting it go to waste would be a crime. But rewriting the rules has consequences-what starts off as a fun experiment quickly becomes a dangerous situation as the once-safe world transforms into a lawless dystopia. They need to make a decision: reset the realm before the school finds out, or push its boundaries and embrace the carnage. But not all agree, and the students are forced to choose a side. And as the chaos intensifies, an all-out virtual war looms, where only the strongest can survive. A BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR READING AND VOTING! I REALLY APPRECIATE IT! Corporal Dia Zephyr assumed it was just another drill, no more than a Navy tradition, a rite of passage for the recruits. She expected a spacewalk, maybe a shooting game inside an asteroid field, skimming along the Collective's border before turning back to the Empire's space. After all, this was what they knew, what everyone expected. But that's not what happened. Highest ranks: [27 in #Science Fiction - 25 in #Horror 10-01-2018]

Language warning for the actual novel. Paragon. A dying galaxy, exhausted of all but the most basic natural resources and home to three failing superpowers. A great war tore the galaxy apart two and a half centuries ago, and still, the scars are vivid. Much of the surviving population toils under regimes ensnared in endless rings of bureaucracy, inaction, and corruption - under regimes that have forgotten them. Carok. Paragon's savior, and Paragon's reservoir. For two hundred years, Carok has been bled dry by the survivors of Paragon. For two hundred years, Carok has been powerless to stop them, keeling to the brutality and militarization of Paragon's endlessly-warring nations. For two hundred years, insurrections and uprisings have been mercilessly crushed in the name of the greater good - in the name of Paragon. As Paragon spirals into a new depression and Carok's strength develops under the corruption and ignorance of Paragon's protectorate fleets, the fragile peace between the two galaxies is flung headlong into a critically unstable situation - a situation that it was never expected to endure.
