And when she meets Jack Collins, the new cute boy in town, a new adventure starts as she takes her sister's favourite purple umbrella, a deep breath and Jack's hand, ready to walk the path to say her final goodbye and let go of the grief and guilt, once and for all. Overview: Divinely cursed and kidnapped by a pirate, Anubia is thrown into a mysterious journey - gods, magic, lust, and ancient monsters await on the seas of Erothenia. Story Sample: "Seven hundred years, almost," Anubia said. "Seven hundred years... Have you been alone all this time?" I asked. She tried her best to hide it, but I could see her swallow, trying to force the tears back and retain her composure. I watched as her eyes began to glisten, sparkling in the movement of the waves and the pale moonlight. She really was beautiful, glowing in the dim light, her eyes pulled down in the weight of her sadness. ... "Yes." My voice was barely a whisper when I answered him, the weight of my despair crawling on my back, dragging itself over my shoulders and resting there, perched and insatiable as always. I had spent centuries trying to learn how to live with my fate... it never got any easier, all this time later. I could read all the philosophy I wanted, distract myself with art and poetry and any other worldly pleasure I could find in this vast beauty of a world we had created... but as dusk came every day I was still the same: unchanged, unaged, a fallen goddess whose wings had been ripped from her and replaced with scales... a monster.
