Four African-American witches on the run from a Warlock detective, a jilted lover, and a ridiculous super clingy cat named Mister Purr. *** It's Mardi Gras weekend in New Orleans, and instead of celebrating with deep-fried beignets and dancing, Yanni finds herself in a dark alley with her three 'sisters'-staring down at a lifeless body. Shocked and scared, they realize something's off about this death. The body is twisted in a way that's not normal, and Yanni can't shake the feeling that dark magic is involved. With one sister panicking, another making sarcastic comments, and the eldest sister, Aunt BeeBee, trying to stay calm, Yanni's life takes a turn she never expected. The dead man's identity remains a mystery, and the sisters know one thing for sure: they can't let anyone find out. The four of them are witches, each representing one of the four elements, bound by magic and a sisterhood. But when it comes to covering up a murder, will they stick together or fall apart? Yanni's got a big decision to make. Will she go along with Aunt BeeBee's plan to cover it up, or will she risk everything to do what's right? Genevieve Delora is chosen as the newest prophet for the royal family, which is a saving grace to her struggling family. What the royal family isn't aware of is that she's cursed to destroy the kingdom on the dawn of her seventeenth birthday and that her job at the palace may be her only hope in breaking the curse. Gen is immediately overwhelmed with tyrannical kings, political plans, and buried secrets among the royals, but she's running out of time. With the help of new friends in the castle (and some friends on the sea) including the "charming" and always silent prince and his friendlier sister, Genevieve seeks to track down an ancient map that leads to the staff of the gods- the only object that can prevent the curse and save the kingdom. However, there's a power greater than Olumia knows lurking in the shadows, and he's after the staff too. Is fate always set in stone, or is the future still up for changing? Features a strong main lead, a gay princess who's engaged to a prince, an all-women privateer crew who rules the sea, friendships, family, an incredibly "will they, won't they" slow burn, myths and folklore, magical gifts, and a diverse cast of characters. ~ AVAILABLE ON AMAZON: https://www.amazon.com/dp/164434193X ~ She hated riding the subway. It was cramped, smelled, and the seats were extremely uncomfortable to sit on for hours on end. Now add a group of crazy mask-wearing, weapon-wielding, maniacs to the ever growing list of reasons why Gemma hated riding the subway. Gemma Conners is your average eighteen year old and for the past two years she's been riding the subway to and from school with no problem. She always expected the same ol' same ol'. Cramped spaces, hard seats, and perverts staring her up and down and "accidentally" bumping into her and blaming it on the train as it jostled people into one another. Never did she expect a group of masked men to rush in and hold everyone onboard hostage, demanding that they all play along with their sick and twisted idea of a "game". It was either that or die. To add on to her ever growing list of problems, one of the passengers onboard just so happens to be Archer Daniels, your typical high school "heartthrob" and Gemma's classmate. Her day just kept getting better and better. With Gemma's luck, she'd be lucky if she lasted five minutes. Yep. She really hated the subway. *Book Cover Credit: Irah Marie* Thanks again for making such an AMAZING cover!❤️
