Four years after her mission, Emily decided it was time for a new beginning and moved back to the States to pursue her dream career, with her three-year-old toddler in tow. And in a precarious situation she was too complacent to recognize, she found herself happy and content. But she would soon discover that she was never fully untethered from her past- no matter where she went or the oceans she crossed, some shadows simply never faded; their grip remained unyielding. Slowly, the wall she had built to protect herself began to crack, its segments fracturing, allowing old ghosts to creep through the gaps and reenter her world.

Aaron Hotchner was forced to fake his death and leave his pregnant wife and child, how would Emily react to him showing up at the BAU almost one year later?

What if Emily and Aaron got together after her fight with Doyle when she went undercover for her protection? After Emily gets hurt by Doyle, Aaron, and JJ, make the decision to fake her death until he is caught and locked up so Emily can come back home. Between those seven months of staying cooped up in her apartment in Paris, Aaron visited her from time to time with Jack coming along with him. Jack and Emily got used to each other because she used to look after him if Aaron was stuck in the office or if Jack was sick and needed help. Aaron kept her up to date with how everyone was if they had caught Ian Doyle yet. Aaron got a call from Derek saying he caught Ian Doyle and that he had been working on the case for the past seven months. Emily got a call from her friends saying that Declan got sick from school and got a call from him. Aaron called JJ to gather the team up because it was time to tell them the truth about Emily. The team found out that Emily was alive and wasn't fully forgiven Emily, Aaron, and JJ for keeping it from them, but they said it was to protect Emily. During those months, Emily and Aaron connected more than they thought they would and agreed to keep their relationship a secret from their team and Strauss. How long will Emily and Aaron keep their relationship with their team and Strauss? Or will Strauss separate them into different departments? {Based on Season 7, Episode 1}
